Ho-lee crap. Just spotted on Dayton Craigslist... I've never had the pleasure of seeing the cinematic masterpiece that is Corvette Summer, so I can't confirm if this car was actually in it or not, but it certainly has the right (or wrong) look. Anyone have Mark Hamill's phone number? Maybe he knows something...

Don't think so. It's nowhere near ugly enough...

hell of a first aid on board - even has post-accident crutches stored under the hood

It doesn't appear in the IMCDB listing for that movie, and considering vehicles the main cars drove past are listed I'd say it wasn't in the movie.

Well, that's disappointing. I thought I had me a real celebrity living in my backyard...

Um, no, that's not the car from Corvette Summer. The biggest giveaways are: 1) wrong color, 2) the car in the movie was Right-Hand-Drive (yup), 3) Wrong headlights, 4) movie car didn't have a blower sticking out the hood.
So, this car is straight-up CP.

It obviously wasn't the main vehicle in the movie... maybe driven by a minor character?
Whatever. It's fookin' hideous.

I know it's been years since I've seen that move but that car was not in it.

Not to mention it's not a Corvette. lol

The Trans Am part didn't even sink in, good catch. Definite CP.

I don't remember this car, but I don't really remember the movie all that well.
Also; bonus points for the Stingers avatar.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. I didn't say it was the Corvette from the movie. I said that the seller claims that it was a car that made an appearance in movie. Big difference. Thanks for playing.

Yeah, somewhere I missed the Trans Am part, my fault.
I haven't been able to find anything showing this car in the movie, might need to watch the entire movie to find out.

God help you.

Corvette Summer came out in 1978. The car is a 1979 which is proof that it couldn't have been in the movie.

The movie doesn't hold up, but I still enjoy watching it. Annie Potts...

There are photos of the car if you google Corvette Summer as they used two corvettes in the movie - one red and one gold. They are in a museum somewhere. Still look amazing. Wonder who actually build them in real life.
